Connor McCanlus

Connor is a Pittsburgh native and a 2017 nominee for “Best Local Actor” in the City Paper Best of Pittsburgh Reader’s Poll. His local acting credits include the CLO Cabaret, barebones, Bricolage, Kinetic, Miniature Curiosa, PICT, The REP, Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Playwrights, Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks, Prime Stage, and Unseam’d Shakespeare. Connor is half of the musical improv duo babyGRAND and has performed with Hipsterpotamus, The LuPones, and Field Trip, as well as various shows in the Pittsburgh area. His work has been invited to perform in Chicago at The iO Theater and MCL Chicago and in NYC at Upright Citizens Brigade, The Magnet Theater, and The People's Improv Theater. Connor has taught improv and musical improv workshops for Philly Improv Theater, Coalition Theater, University of Pittsburgh, and the CLO Academy. He is also a director and coach for local teams including the Point Park University improv club from 2014-2016. In his spare time, he enjoys subverting the patriarchy and being ignored by his cat Vigo the Carpathian.
